Glinka was a Russian composer and is regarded as the founder of Russian nationalism in music. Glink music includes: operas such as A Life for the Tsar and Ruslan and Lyudmila; and orchestral music with a Spanish influence such as Capriccio brillante and Recuerdos de Castilla; and Kamarinskaya which revealed the influence of Russian folk melodies.
